Facts About Lati: Man Who Introduced Davido To Wife Chioma And Served As His Best Man

Popular Afrobeat star Davido has sparked social media buzz after revealing that his longtime personal assistant, Lati, introduced him to his wife, Chioma.

Lati, who served as Davido’s best man at their wedding, has become a topic of interest among fans.

Davido and his longtime partner, Chioma Rowland, also known as Chefchi, tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony in Lagos on June 25, 2024.

Contrary to social media speculation, Lati is not Davido’s bouncer. Fans are now eager to learn more about this significant figure in Davido’s life.

Lati, whose full name is Lateef Raimi Abiola, has been a close confidant of Davido since the early days of his music career and his undergraduate years at Babcock University in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State. Lati was born in Lagos on June 25, 1989, which coincidentally is the same date as Davido’s wedding.

He serves not only as Davido’s personal assistant but also as an A&R (Artist and Repertoire) personnel within Davido Music Worldwide (DMW). Lati plays a crucial role in organizing Davido’s schedule, controlling access to the star, and accompanying him on worldwide tours.

In 2017, Davido helped Lati achieve his dream of establishing an oil and gas company by buying him an oil tanker, leading to the creation of Latino General Merchants Nigeria Limited. In 2019, Davido further rewarded Lati’s loyalty by gifting him a multimillion-naira Benz.

Lati, who introduced Davido to Chioma during their undergraduate days at Babcock University, is also a vlogger with a YouTube channel called 30BG Motivations, where he regularly posts inspirational videos.

Serving as Davido’s best man at the lavish traditional wedding, Lati has cemented his place as a key figure in Davido’s personal and professional life.
