Ameh blasts Wike over derogatory comment against Senator

The Former National Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria, (IPAC), Chief Peter Ameh, has blasted the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, over his derogatory statements against Senator Ireti Kingibe.

Earlier, Wike told Senator Ireti to go and hang herself on a transformer if she was not happy with his actions in the FCT.

GWG.ng reports that Wike said this on Monday in response to an earlier assertion by the Senator that residents were not impressed with Wike’s performance.

She had alleged that Wike does not care about the social well-being of FCT residents.

Ameh recalled how disheartening it was to watch Wike belittle ex-senator, Shehu Sani while commissioning a car park.

He began, “It was a disheartening episode to watch today when I saw Wike flagging off Mabushi car park. Even in the 21st Century, Where do people flag your car park? It’s the least of the elementary level of governance.

“And then in that same occasion, he was using that same occasion to bash the sitting senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. And people were applauding him. He was derogatory in Making statements that will reduce the personality of that person. Governance is not about insults

Criticizing the roads Wike currently brags about, he lamented that there are no roads in needed areas like Nyannya, Karu, Karshii, Kubwa, and Gwagwalada adding that the roads he completed in the FCT were Bello’s projects.

Addressing the remarks made by Wike against Senator Ireti, Ameh said, “The way he is intimidating senators, I think I blame other senators and other House members who are not coming together, especially the opposition and the opposition from the Labour Party. They must speak to Wike, he does not control this country.

“Let him just watch out. He cannot come to speak to people without thinking that there’s no consequences for this action.
