Two Banks Razed, 20 Lives Reportedly Lost As Violent Clash Erupts In Benue (Video)

A devastating outbreak of violence rocked Zaki Biam, Benue State on Thursday with soldiers and local youths engaged in fierce battles. The clashes resulted in widespread destruction of government properties, financial institutions, and educational facilities.

Eyewitnesses report that Access Bank, First Bank, and several schools have been razed to the ground. The Road Safety Office and its fleet of vehicles were also torched, while Benue Link cars and local government offices suffered a similar fate.

The most alarming aspect of the crisis is the loss of human life, with over 20 dead bodies reportedly littering the streets. The violence has also caused a massive gridlock, with cars stranded at the Wukari filling station.

Travelers and residents are advised to exercise extreme caution and avoid the area until the situation is brought under control. The cause of the conflict is yet to be determined, but authorities are working to restore peace and order in the troubled region.
