Nigerian superstar Ibrahim Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, has paid an emotional tribute to his mother, Morayo Balogun, on what would have been her birthday on July 4th, 2024.

Posting on his X page, Wizkid opened up about his profound grief as he commemorated his mother’s birthday in her absence.

He expressed a deep sense of loss, revealing that he misses his mother every day and that the void left by her passing in 2023 remains unfilled.

Wizkid shared that his life feels empty without her and expressed hope that she continues to watch over him and his family.

The Grammy award-winning singer described his heartache, emphasizing that her smile, laughter, hugs, and kisses are memories he will always cherish. He conveyed that nothing will ever be the same for him again.

In his heartfelt message, Wizkid wrote, “Happy birthday, love of my life! I miss you every day. The first one without you here feels unreal. Nothing makes sense without you, mama! Life is empty without you. Continue to watch over us! My heart is broken forever! Love you, love you, love you, MORAYO mi. Your smile is a memory I will never forget. Your laugh!
