According to eyewitness Ibrahim Makama, the Governor had called for an Imam to lead prayers when the young man suddenly jumped out and volunteered to pray. The Governor reprimanded him, saying, “Were you the Imam I called to pray? This is an act of indiscipline; I didn’t call you to pray.” The young man was then asked to kneel before being arrested.

The incident sparked widespread outrage on social media, with many condemning the Governor’s actions and calling for respect for human rights. The incident has raised questions about the use of power and authority, and many are demanding accountability from the Governor.
