A UK-based Nigerian youth has sparked reactions after he asked Nigerians how they are surviving with the skyrocketing prices of eggs and other food items in the nation.

However, his inaccurate facts about the real prices of the food items he mentioned sparked reactions, causing eggs to enter the list of trending topics on X.

The man identified as @yuteoflondon on X asked, Spaghetti is N1000, crate of eggs is N3500, Bread is N1500, Fam! how are you people surviving?

In reaction, Nigerians politely asked him to show them where he bought a crate of egg for N3,500, given that presently, the price of a crate of egg is selling between N4,500 and N5,000.

However, he clarified that the prices he mentioned were the ones he heard some weeks ago.
