Mr Ibu’s Widow Pens Heartfelt Tribute, Expresses Gratitude For Support

Stella Maris Okafor, the widow of beloved Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has shared a touching tribute to her late husband and expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support from the public and notable figures.

In an Instagram post, Stella Maris reflected on the challenging journey of her husband’s illness, which began with numerous hospital visits and sleepless nights, filled with hope and prayer for a miracle. Despite their best efforts and the dedication of the medical team, they lost him to cardiac arrest on March 26th.

She acknowledged the overwhelming support from generous individuals, Nigerians, and notable figures like Peter Obi, the Enugu State government, Commissioner of Tourism Enugu, Actors Guild of Nigeria, and many more. The support, which included donations and encouragement, helped them manage medical expenses and cope with the emotional strain.

Stella Maris expressed her appreciation for the love and laughter her husband brought into their lives, which was replaced by fear and uncertainty during his illness. She also thanked the Nollywood industry for their support, revealing that they had been good to her and her children since her husband’s passing.
