President Bola Tinubu has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the victims and families affected by the tragic building collapse in Plateau State, describing it as a “huge loss to the nation.”

The incident, which occurred on Friday in Jos North Local Government Area, resulted in 22 fatalities and 132 injuries.

In a statement released by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu conveyed his profound grief and devastation over the incident. He commiserated with the bereaved families, victims, and the people and government of Plateau State, acknowledging the immense loss and pain caused by the tragedy.

The President also praised the swift response of emergency agencies, including NEMA, SEMA, security forces, and all those involved in the search, rescue, and resuscitation efforts. He assured the people of Plateau State of his unwavering support during this difficult time.
