Two Shot Dead After Aborted Assassination Of Trump

President Donald Trump is safe after a gunman shot at him during a campaign rally at Butler, Pennsylvania GWG.ng reports.

Meanwhile, while the US Secret Service which provides protection for former presidents and presidential candidates said late on Saturday night that Trump was safe, the Associated Press is reporting that the gunman and at least one attendee at the rally are dead.

The circumstances of the death of the duo were not immediately available but it was not immediately known if Trump was directly shot.

GWG.ng had earlier reported the incident suspected to be a shooting incident that led to the abortion of the rally.

Meanwhile, Trump’s allies were on Saturday night rallying support and well wishes for the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee.

Secret Service Response After Trump Was Shot

Secret Service Chief of Communications, Anthony Guglielmi, in a statement said:

“An incident occurred the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available,” Guglielmi said in a statement.

Meanwhile, several allies of President Trump have been sending him well wishes after he was shot.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio: “Praying for President Trump and all those attending the rally in Pennsylvania today.”

Ohio Sen. JD Vance: “Everyone join me in praying for our President Trump and everyone at that rally. I hope everyone is ok.”

North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum: “Please join Kathryn and me in praying for President Trump, his family and everyone attending the rally today” and “We all know President Trump is stronger than his enemies. Today he showed it.”

South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott: “Praying for President Trump and everyone at the rally in Pennsylvania. May God watch over them all”

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem: “Pray for Donald J. Trump. Pray for the United States of America. He’s the toughest man I’ve ever met. Nobody’s been through what he’s been through. May swift justice be brought against his evil attacker.”

New York Rep. Elise Stefanik: “Please pray for President Trump, his family, and all of the patriots at today’s rally in Pennsylvania.”

Sen. Bill Hagerty posted a photograph of Trump with his fist held in the air and blood on his right ear, as well as “Pray for our President @realDonaldTrump. He is the strongest person I know.”

GWG.ng reports that Trump is the first presidential candidate to have been shot in recent history.
