Why More Nigerian Celebrities Are Doubting Trump Assassination Story

Musician 2Baba has joined the host of Nigerian celebrities doubting the story of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. Why?

Legendary Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face or 2baba, has joined fellow celebrities in sharing his thoughts on the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump.

GWG.ng reports that the incident occurred during Trump’s presidential rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, when he was delivering a speech.

Shots were fired towards the stage, and Trump was struck on his ear. Secret Service agents quickly intervened, shouting at Trump to get down and rushing him off the stage to safety.

Reacting to the incident, 2baba suggested that the attempt was staged. He compared the incident to Hollywood actor Jussie Smollett’s controversial case, implying that it was a carefully orchestrated act. “Jussie Smollett is still learning. I would be shocked if I’m wrong, but this is a pure package. Hollywood is still learning,” he remarked.

Other Nigerian celebrities including stylist and designer Toyin Lawani has also doubted the story on the assassination of Trump.

Commenting on a blog, she awarded Trump the “best actor of the year,” further fueling the skepticism about the authenticity of the assassination attempt. Many others have also expressed doubts, agreeing with 2baba and Lawani’s opinions.

This isn’t the first time 2baba has stirred controversy with his comments. Last year, he faced backlash from Nigerians after commenting on the FBI’s plans to release documents related to President Tinubu. The debate began when Charly Boy urged Nigerians and his US-based friends, including the CIA and FBI, to confirm the news, emphasizing that “it’s not over until it’s over.”

In response, 2baba suggested that the FBI should also release documents involving various other figures, including former US presidents and international leaders, before focusing on President Tinubu.

He implied that Nigeria should handle its issues independently, which sparked a strong reaction from netizens. Many questioned his stance and reminded him of his own personal controversies.

As the story unfolds, the debate continues on whether the incident at Trump’s rally was a genuine assassination attempt or a staged event.
