Nigerian Actress Ini Dima-Okojie Reveals New Health Challenge (Video)
By Benjamin Abioye
Nigerian actress, Ini Dima-Okojie, has opened up about her health challenges.
In a video posted on her Instagram on Wednesday, July 17, Ini Dima-Okojie shared that she was recently diagnosed with fibroids for the second time, just three years after a successful surgery in 2020.
She acknowledged how difficult it was to share this news, saying, “I’ve been going back and forth since I was diagnosed a second time with fibroids.”
She also mentioned that she would be sponsoring scans for 20 women.
Instead of opting for another surgery, Ini Dima-Okojie disclosed that she would be taking a holistic approach to shrink the fibroids in her body.
Her caption reads: “I never imagined I’d be sharing this again after my last update on 30/12/2020, but here I am. My journey with fibroids isn’t over—I recently learned they’ve returned.
I’ll let you listen to the details in the video.
I will be sponsoring scans for 20 women.

If you know someone dealing with fibroids who could benefit from this, please share this with them. 🤎
To every woman dealing with fibroids, I want you to know I see you. It’s not an easy journey, but my hope is that we can change the narrative and find a real and permanent remedy for fibroids”
Her comment section got filled with many sharing their experience of the same issue, and some with messages of care, support, and encouragement.

@ teslynaturalproducts: I had the symptoms and went for scan.. the results showed I have multiple fibroids. That was my first time of ever having something that scared me so much.. the location of the fibroids were bad so the doctors suggested surgery.. but after a month of contemplating if I should go ahead with the surgery or not, I got pregnant 🤰 with it.. that was the most painful pregnancy I ever had.. the fibroids were trying to push the baby out and I was in so much pains for the first 6 months.. I took pain relief injections every week. And because I had ulcer, I started reacting to the pain relief and was vomiting blood.. some doctors advised I should terminate the pregnancy and I almost gave it due to the pains but I am grateful for a supportive partner.. we made it to 7 months and the pains stopped.. I gave birth to my miracle baby without cs and he is a year and 3 months today..
@toniammbi: My own almost killed me. I had surgery and they started growing again, the became worst than the first one. I bleed for one year four months and it did not stop for a day despite all the injections and tablets I was taking. I would bleed and collapse. Ambulance will carry me three times every month to the hospital. I was always anaemic and was constantly on blood transfusions and iron transfusions. Finally the only way they could save my life was to remove my womb. I had a hysterectomy two years ago. I feel so bad that I don’t have a womb

You got this mama, because He said so!!!❤️
@olaherbals: Myomectomy is not the solution to fibroid removal if detected early, early detection is crucial to getting rid and managing fibroids. Bigger fibroids will require other invasive methods like UAE UFE , myomectomy or even womb removal sometimes. That is why it’s important for you to know your fibroid status, whether you are experiencing any pains or not. You can shrink your fibroids your self with healthy wholesome foods in your kitchen if discovered early. The good news is, July is fibroid awareness month and on the 21st of July this Sunday, thousands of women will gather at the Darlyton hall, industrial crescent, ilupeju Lagos, to learn and unlearn myths about fibroids, to get a scan done , listen to other women’s stories and learn holistic approach to shrinking fibroids. Our thoughts and prayers are with you @inidimaokojie ladies see you at the 3rd fibroid annual conference on Sunday
