Mercy Chinwo, Husband Award Full Scholarships To 100 Undergraduates

Gospel sensation Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, have generously awarded full scholarships to 100 undergraduates at the University of Calabar through their Mercyisblessed Foundation. The announcement, made during their visit to the university on July 12, 2024, brought immense joy to the students.

The scholarships from Mercy Chinwo and her husband cover all school fees and provide additional support to ensure academic stability for deserving students facing financial challenges.

Mercy Chinwo shared that this gesture is a way to give back to the community that played a significant role in her life. She expressed, “Port Harcourt is home to me any day. The memories are fresh of a city where I dared to dream and hope for a purposeful life. I thank the Lord for His work in me and through me so far. The scholarship is to inspire students that their dreams and ambitions are valid and not to give up because there is a God who has ‘Excess Love’.”

The scholarships take effect immediately, with the selection criteria and modalities for identifying eligible candidates to be communicated through appropriate channels.

This initiative follows a similar act of generosity by Mercy Chinwo in April when she awarded scholarships to 50 students at the University of Port Harcourt. The Mercyisblessed Foundation continues to impact lives, emphasizing the importance of education and the power of dreams.
