Nollywood actress and producer Yvonne Jegede has shared the heartbreaking news of losing one of her children, Olamide Ajimuda, to cholera. In an emotional post on her Instagram page, Jegede revealed her journey of single-handedly financing the education of three children, including Olamide.

Jegede recounted meeting Olamide when he was in Primary 4, and he was set to advance to JSS3 after the summer break. Tragically, he passed away before reaching this milestone.

Despite this sorrow, Jegede celebrated a bittersweet moment as the two other children she supports graduated from secondary school, including Olamide’s sister. She expressed her fulfillment in supporting these children, stating that while she may not have all the money in the world, seeing them succeed makes her world complete.

Reflecting on her journey since 2019, Jegede acknowledged the divine provision that has enabled her to continue supporting the children through their education.

“I’m heartbroken because I lost one of my children to cholera. Olamide and I met when he was in Primary 4 and he was supposed to go to JSS3 after this summer break. The news broke my heart. I am also happy that 2 of my children graduated yesterday from secondary school, and one of them is Olamide’s sister. I don’t have all the money in the world, but this makes my world complete. Since 2019 till date, I don’t know how I do it, but my God provides enough to carry them through.”

She concluded her post with a poignant tribute: “Rest In Power, Olamide Ajimuda.”
