Shock As Police Inspector Commits Suic!de By Hanging 

In a shocking incident, a police inspector, Dasu Kassa, has committed suicide by hanging on a tree in Adamawa State.

GWG.ng gathered that his body was discovered at his residence in Anguwan Yungur, Girei Local Government Area, on Monday evening.

Reports making the round indicate that Kassa had returned from a hospital in Yola, the state capital, earlier that evening.

However, authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

While no note was left behind, family sources indicate that financial difficulties and medical expenses may have contributed to his decision.

The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the incident, with spokesperson SP Suleiman Nguroje verifying the details to journalists.

He said, “Actually the police inspector was found dead.

“The Command is investigating the matter with a view to finding out the circumstances that led to the dead.”GWG.ng reports that the tragic incident is coming after the police force in Abuja arrested a man who attempted suicide by climbing a mast to protest against the hardship in the country.

Though the man was released on bail, the police did not fail to emphasize that suicide attempt is a crime that is punishable with a year jail-term according to Nigerian laws.

What is worrisome about Kassa’s case is how those who are supposed to enforce laws against suicide, have fallen victim of the same crime.
