Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was a politician who made his ascent from the business community into governance.
The news of the death of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah on Saturday has caused a significant stir across Nigeria and not least among business circles where he was a dominant player.
His passing was confirmed by former senator Ben Murray Bruce, and reports indicate that Ubah died in his hotel room in London.
Prior to his death, Ubah served as a senator under the All Progressives Congress, representing Anambra South. He was initially elected to the Senate in February 2019, winning the Anambra South Senatorial District election on the platform of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), before later defecting to the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Born on September 3, 1971, Ubah passed away at the age of 52.

Capital Oil and Gas: Founded in 2001, Capital Oil was Ubah’s first major business venture before he entered the political arena. He served as the chairman of this oil company up until his death.
Authority Newspaper: Established in 2015, Authority Newspaper was a national daily founded by Ubah. He also owned Authority Television and Radio.
Ifeanyi Ubah Football Club:Ubah founded the Ifeanyi Ubah FC, which has made its mark in the Nigeria National League. The club’s home ground is the Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium in Nnewi, Anambra State.
Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was known first in the oil industry business before he ventured into politics with a bold declaration to become governor of Anambra State.
