Social media influencer and crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has faced an unexpected setback in his anticipated release from prison.

Originally scheduled for release from prison on July 29, 2024, Bobrisky is to wait a week later following claims of an alleged miscalculation of his sentence duration. The crossdresser was sentenced to six months in prison on April 12, 2024.

Fans eagerly awaiting the release of Bobrisky from prison were met with disappointment on Monday as the new information emerged. Content creator and social commentator Tosin Silverdam reported that a miscalculation led to a reassessment of Bobrisky’s release date.

According to Silverdam, Bobrisky’s team arrived at the prison to collect him, only to be informed of the error. The new release date of the social media influencer from prison has been set for Monday, August 5, 2024.
