Abuja Protesters Reject Police Order To Move Inside National Stadium, Head To Eagle Square

Amid the nationwide protest against hardship which kicked off on Thursday, suspicion has set in after the F.C.T Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh asked Abuja Protesters To Move Inside National Stadium to stage their protest.

The commissioner cited a court order restricting them to the facility.

The online community did not hesitate to express their thoughts on the request of the commissioner.

@endyy090 said, “So you can lock them in the stadium so nobody will know there’s a protest. A planned protest will yield nothing cuz the oppressors are also planning to stop you. When Nigerians are ready, they will troop out and block the streets without planning.”

@pissed_nig said, “Its a lie!!!! We no dey enter anywhere!! Make dem allow people to protest where they want!!! We go soon reach eagle square. make him dey play.”

@SamuelIse3 reacted, “What are we doing inside the national stadium, are we playing a football match? Very unserious set of people.”

@Ayoksy questioned, “Did they tell the anti protest protesters to move to the stadium?”

@Is_Alive101 asked, “Are they doing crusade inside national stadium.”

@JerryUgorji2 said, “Why should they go to the stadium..does this look like a carnival.”

However, in a later development, the Abuja Protesters rejected the National  Stadium Restriction and headed to Eagle Square where the Minister of FCT earlier restricted the protest..
