New Thoughts About House Helps After Murder Of Ajumogobia’s Daughter

A wave of reactions have been sparked on social media following the cold murder of Aribemchukwu, the daughter of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia.

A family source, who spoke on anonymity, alleged that new household staff employed by Aribemchukwu might have been responsible and tried to “stage” it as an outside job.  

“There were signs of an attempt to clean up blood inside the house and in the compound. This was indeed their handiwork, and we observed that they were newly employed less than a month, and she was alone in the house with them. We all need to be super careful, especially with new hires,” the source added.

The disturbing incident has since sparked anxiety, fear, and suspicion from concerned netizens on social media.  See some reactions gathered by GWG.ng from Instagram:

oluseyi_olubori who personally know the Ajumogobias defended them, from accusers,  “No why, if you really know the Ajumogobia they are nice people, the most senior sister Dr Ajumogobia use to be my God mother she taught me a lot of things and the brother his also a nice man, may her soul rest in peace.”

bestiady102 said, “Those who need house help by all means, should hire the one that will work and go back home. No help should stay with you permanently. See finish go enter am. May her soul rest in peace.”

ogidii_herbals commented, “I don’t see any reason to hire unknown people to come and work with you at home,just dedicate a weekend to be cleaning house with you and your husband, it’s safer like that, or invite cleaner when your partner is around and the person must leave that same day,rip to her.”

berrylicious_ese questioned, “How about her security man? He too, ought to be arrested and questioned! Because how did she get outside the gate from inside the house (if indeed there is evidence of trying to clean up blood inside the house)? May she rest in peace.”

oriaku_berrie said, “This is the reason i will never get a maid… team do it yourself or get a trusted relative to assist if need maybe, some of this strangers are desperately wicked no matter how nice you treat them. Rip to the dead.”

On Wednesday, GWG.ng reported that the Police successfully arrested three suspects connected to the murder of Aribemchukwu.

The police named the suspects to include: Aribemchukwu’s driver, and the other two maids working for her before her death.

“We are investigating and will further inform the public on our outcome,” the Police PRO had assured.
