Nollywood Actress Iyabo Ojo joins ‘End Bad Governance’ Protest (Video)

Renowned Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has thrown her weight behind the ongoing End Bad Governance protest, urging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure a peaceful demonstration.

As thousands of Nigerians took to the streets to demand change, Iyabo Ojo shared a video on her Instagram page, appealing to the President to caution his security personnel.

“Please, sir, kindly speak to your men to caution their actions… allow a peaceful protest… thank you. #peacefulprotest is their right,” Iyabo Ojo wrote.

Iyabo Ojo, known for her vocal stance on social issues, also shared various videos on her page to show solidarity with the protesters. Her involvement in the protest comes as no surprise, given her history of speaking truth to power.

In 2023, she supported the Peter Obi political phenomenon as against the aspiration of the ruling party earning her respect from some quarters and criticism from others.

GWG.ng reports that the inclination of Iyabo Ojo towards the protest is against the tide by her colleague, Tonto Dikeh who has come out to identify with President Tinubu.

In a recent personal milestone, Iyabo Ojo celebrated her son Festus Ojo’s graduation from Altinbas University in Istanbul, Turkey. The proud mother showered her son with prayers and appreciation, acknowledging the challenges of being a single parent. She hailed all single parents as “true heroes and champions.”
