A trending video where one of the counter-protesters at the ongoing nationwide protest against hunger, missed his lines, has evoked laughter on social media.

In the video seen by GWG.ng on social media, some of the counter-protesters wielded placards with inscriptions such as  “No Protest”.

On the contrary, the frustrations they expressed did not align with the messages on their placards.

In the video, one of the counter-protesters who spoke with journalists said that they are out to stage a counter-protest because they don’t want to offend their employers, which may result in problems erupting in the country.

“If boys no come out say, ‘No protest’, problem go de for the country”.

He said if protesters come out to make their demands it will hinder the government from doing what they wanted.

In another line, he asked, to prevent the foreseen problems, “Is it not better to come out and tell the country our mind?”

When asked what was really on his mind, the counter-protester replied, “My mind now, garri cost.” He added, “When we were little children, he go be like say when we drink garri, we go blind but now we wan blind sef, them no give us garri.”
