Protesters Mock As Police Van Breaks Down (Video)

A video circulating on social media has revealed the moment #EndHunger protesters in Delta State entertained themselves as they mocked police officials after their van developed a mechanical fault.

The police officers had been mobilised to contain the protesters in Delta State but their vehicle soon developed a mechanical fault causing them to try jumpstarting it by pushing. However, their efforts were met with embarrassing failure causing them to be mocked by the onlooking protesters.

The protesters, who were demonstrating against bad governance and economic hardship, couldn’t resist the opportunity to tease the officers about their predicament as they mocked them. The video showed the protesters laughing and making light of the situation, with some even offering to help push the van.

Despite the officers’ best efforts, the van refused to start, leaving them stranded and embarrassed. The protesters continued to mock them, chanting and singing as they passed by the stranded officers.

GWG.ng reports that the protest in Delta State is part of a nationwide movement demanding an end to bad governance, corruption, and economic hardship and the police officers mocked by the protesters only represent an entertaining visage of the nationwide crisis.

Meanwhile, the protesters have vowed to continue their demonstrations until their demands are met.
