Police Arrest Man Behind Russian Link To Nigeria Hunger Protest (Video)
Amid the suspense created after President Bola Tinubu asked Nigerians to call off the nationwide protest, a Nigerian tailor simply identified as Ahmed was arrested in Kano on Monday after seven Russian flags were found on him.
Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who made this known on the police media WhatsApp platform, said Ahmed Tailor was arrested with seven Russian flags in the state.
Adejobi said, “Ahmed Tailor arrested in Kano today with seven more flags. He is one of the sponsors of treasonable felony, flying Russian flags and calling for anarchy in Kano, Nigeria at large.”
GWG.ng reports that security concerns have been raised in Nigeria after some #EndBadGovernance protesters in the North were seen in viral photos and videos flying the Russian flag, calling on the Russian government to come and help them.

Over the weekend, photos of some of the protesters waving the Russian flag made the rounds on social media.l
Some of the youths told TheCable that they were leaning towards Russia because of a lack of trust in President Bola Tinubu’s motives.
“We are raising the Russian flag because we believe Tinubu is playing his imperial masters’ scripts — the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the United States of America,” Auwalu Idi, a protester, told TheCable.
On Sunday, more Russian flag carriers were also spotted in Kano.
GWG.ng reports that Kano is not the only state where the Russian flags have been sighted amid the protest.
Another group of protesters arrived in Jos, the Plateau capital, on the same day with Russian and Japanese flags, forcing protest organizers to conclude the march early.
Salman Garba, the state police commissioner, had told reporters that some of the youths were hiding under a programme organized by an unnamed politician in Kano.
Newsmen also sighted protesters holding Russian flags near the Nyanya bridge, a suburb in Abuja, on Monday.
