Olympics: Nigerians Console As Favour Ofili Cries After 200m Final Failure (Video)
Favour Ofili refused to be comforted after she finished 6th in the 200m women’s finals in the ongoing 2024 Olympics in Paris.
A viral video showing Nigerian athlete, Favour Ofili, in tears after coming 6th at the 200 meters Final, in the ongoing 2024 Olympics in Paris, has emerged.
Gabby Thomas from the USA , won the 200-m sprint Tuesday night at the Stade de France, the first U.S. track athlete to win gold in this event since Allyson Felix in 2012.
Thomas won with a time of 21.83 seconds; Julien Alfred of St. Lucia finished second, with a time of 22.08, to take silver while Brittany Brown of the U.S. earned bronze, with a time of 2.20.
Recall that on Monday, Favour Ofili finished second during the qualifiers with a season’s best time of 22.05s.
GWG.ng reports that Offili was unable to clinche any medal in the finals. While she cried uncontrollably, officials in her team were seen trying to console her.

Surprisingly, Nigerians on social media sent in hugs and encouragement, stressing that Favour Ofili must not give up at this point of her career.
