Nollywood Mourns As Prominent Actor Loses ‘Lion Son’

Tragedy has struck Nollywood actor Francis Duru, following the news of the passing of his son, Ifeanyi.

In a heart-wrenching Instagram post, Duru described his son as a lion who fought valiantly for his life.

“My champ! My lion… you fought like a lion… if this is the way He wants it, so be it. I still judge you faithful… Ifeanyi, my champ… I will miss you, son… will forever love you… Rest in peace, son… rest… I give you thanks, Lord!”

This devastating loss comes on the heels of comedian Aphrican Ace and his wife mourning the loss of their newborn son, who succumbed to a bacterial infection.

Last year, skit maker Akika (Olagunju Solomon Olamide) also lost his son on Father’s Day, sharing his grief on social media.

The Nigerian entertainment industry is reeling from these consecutive losses, offering condolences and support to the bereaved families.
