Controversial Influencer Explains Why Abuja Area Mama Was Murdered (Video)
Controversial Social media influencer, VeryDarkman (VDM), has dug out a shocking video interview, alleged to have led to the gruesome murder of a popular Nigerian Crossdresser, known as Area Mama.
GWG.ng on Thursday, reported that Area Mama, also publicly recognized as the first ‘gay ashawo’ in Nigeria, was gruesomely murdered in Abuja by unknown persons.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the FCT command, SP Josephine Adeh, said: “It is true. We received a distress call about the dead body of an unknown lady found at Katampe Mabuchi expressway.
“It was when the police arrived at the scene that we discovered that it was a man in full female attire with blood all over his face.”
Adeh said his body was taken to the hospital where he was confirmed d£ad.
While reacting to the murder of Area Mama, VDM asserted that a television show where Area Mama was interviewed led to his death.
In the interview, Area Mama revealed that he started doing male prostitution between the ages of 10 years and 11 years.
He further revealed that his biggest customers were Alhajis. The deceased said that although Igbos patronize him, they don’t pay well.
On his best night, he said he could satisfy as many as 10 men. But, at his worst, he gets a minimum of three male clients when he’s on the street hustling.
This interview gave him national popularity, attracting the good, bad and ugly.
VDM pointed out that Area Mama was assualted at Carimo market in Abuja, immediately after that interview.
Another viral video captured a brutally wounded Area Mama narrating his ordeal after the incident.
He said he was brutally attacked with a dagger by a man living close to his house in the Carimo area.
Area Mama lamented that the police did not take any action after he reported at the Carimo police station.
After juxtapositing these old videos, VDM analyzed that the first assault carried out on Area Mama, was enough signal for the Crossdresser to understand that Nigeria’s laws frown against gay lifestyle.
He suggested that Area Mama would have fled the area after discovering that his environment was hostile to his lifestyle. Rather he stayed back to fight the system, which led to his tragic untimely death.
The social media influencer further reiterated that Nigeria’s laws frown against homosexuality, hence crossdressers should stop bragging openly about it, in order to avoid a fate like Area Mama’s.
While emphasizing that frowning against a lifestyle that does not appeal to a person is not a justification to take another person’s life, VDM advised the Police to investigate people living close to the house of the deceased crossdresser in Abuja, as a guide to trace his killer.
