El-Rufai Jnr On The Spot After Gifting Rice To Family Of Boy Killed In Kaduna Protest

Rep Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, member, Kaduna North Federal Constituency has come under fire after his team distributed foodstuff and N100,000 to the family of the 16-year-old boy, who was shot dead by Nigerian Army during the nationwide protests against hunger and bad governance in Kaduna.

A man identified as @Ymjazamani on X disclosed the information while tagging Bello El-Rufai and the Nigerian army.

He tweeted, “Yesterday, Team @B_ELRUFAI paid a visit to the family of the 16-year-old boy shot by the @HQNigerianArmy. They delivered food packages and #100k to the family. May Aljannah firdaus b his final abode and may Allah reward Hon Bello Elrufai.”

The update did not go down well with some Nigerians who flooded the comments to state that food packages by Bello El-Rufai are not worth the loss of the teenager killed during the protests.

@AzukaEbeh wrote, “Una dey m@dooo. Na rice go bring back that boy? We are talking about life here, we want to know what happens to the Stupid soldier that pulled the trigger. Apc and tinubu are busy with rice madness..”

@emmidoma2000 said, “Ok so anytime the army kills innocent people the government will be sharing packages and 100k SMH.”

 @Afolaya said, “And I wept to exchange a whole human being for 3 bags of rice and other useless items that can not last them 2 weeks. What a country!”

Dim Emeka Ojukwu commentedz, “Lmao! Enough food so that they can cry very well. Will #100K be enough to purchase good quality coffins? Una go learn very well.”

GWG.ng earlier reported that Nigerians were enraged after learning that the Nigerian army gave N300,000 to the father of the deceased during a condolence visit, which was perceived as a compensation for the boy’s death.

However, in an interview, the deceased’s father dismissed the reports as rumours and maintained that the army gave him the  N300,000 for pure water.
