Femi Otedola Donates N5m, Scholarship To Quadruplets Family

Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, through his philanthropic organization, the Femi Otedola Foundation (FOF), has donated N5m to the family of Sodiq Olayode, who recently welcomed quadruplets.

This generous act of kindness follows a wave of public support that saw Nigerians raise over N19 million through online donations.

The Olayode family’s story gained widespread attention after a colleague, Oyeniran James, shared their challenges on social media. James, known as @jamysax on X (formerly Twitter), highlighted the family’s difficulties by revealing that the newborns used 105 diapers in just six days. This revelation touched the hearts of many, prompting a flood of donations and support.

On Monday, the Femi Otedola Foundation, recognized for its numerous charitable initiatives, presented a cheque of N5m to the Olayode family. The donation was delivered by Philip Akinola on behalf of the foundation. In addition to the financial support, Femi Otedola also committed to funding the university education of two of the Olayode children.

Sharing the news on X, James wrote: “Guyssssssssssssssssss, Guess what ???? ‘#realFemiOtedola sent representatives to offer a cheque of N5 million to the parents of the quadruplets and also offered scholarships for the education of two of their kids till University. I’m in tears, guys.’”

This act of generosity comes on the heels of a N2 million donation from Airtel Nigeria, further alleviating the financial burden on the Olayode family.
