Nigerian Police Move Murder Case Of Newly Wedded Man To Abuja
The Nigeria Police Force has transferred the investigation into the mysterious death of Fidelis Osaghae from the Auchi Police Station in Edo State to force headquarters in Abuja.
Fidelis, a staff member of Valchi Fast Food and Bar, allegedly died under suspicious circumstances on Monday, July 29, 2024, after reportedly carrying out a task from his employer, Valentine Oyemike, in the early morning hours.
GWG.ng had earlier reported that in a lengthy letter dated August 5, written by the Akin Fadeyi Foundation (AFF) on behalf of Fidelis’ widow, Esther Fidelis Osaghae, the family requested a thorough probe into the mysterious death.
In the letter, they urged the police to unravel how a healthy man died while on duty, with visible marks on his body, indicating he might have been injured and attacked by someone before his death.
Fidelis’ family alongside other Nigerians are demanding truth and justice for his sudden and mysterious passing, urging a thorough and transparent investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding his death and ensure that those responsible are brought to account.
GWG.ng recalls that late Fidelis had been married to Esther for just a year. She was nursing their two-month-old baby, when the tragic incident happened.
