Shock As Netizens Shame Seyi Law As He Officially Assumes New Govt Role

Nigerian comedian Oluseyi Aletile, popularly known as Seyi Law, has faced backlash from netizens after officially resuming his new role as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Entertainment and Tourism to the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

Last month, GWG.ng reported that Seyi Law had been appointed to the position of SSA, a development that the comedian proudly announced on his Instagram page. In his post, he expressed gratitude to the governor for the opportunity and prayed for divine assistance to help him contribute meaningfully to the state’s progress.

As Seyi Law stepped into his new role of SSA, he shared a video on social media documenting his courtesy visits to the Deputy Governor, His Excellency Dr. Olayide Adelami, and the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi. However, the post sparked controversy, with many netizens flooding the comment section with negative remarks and curses.

Seyi Law is not the only entertainer recently appointed to a government position, though not all to his position of SSA.. In May, actress Eniola Badmus, a known supporter of President Bola Tinubu, was named the Special Assistant on Social Events and Public Hearings to the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Eniola expressed her gratitude for the appointment, stating that she was honored by the confidence placed in her to serve under Speaker Tajudeen Abbas’s leadership.

Eniola Badmus officially began her duties last month. She shared photos from her meeting with Senate President Godswill Akpabio at the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) in Abuja, marking the start of her tenure in the new role.
