Commissioner, Wife Regain Freedom After Abduction, Aide Killed
Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Patrick Mba, and his wife have been released after being kidnapped on Friday.
The couple was abducted along the Edo-Kogi Expressway while en route to Abuja for the wedding of Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s daughter.
Their release was confirmed on Saturday night by a government official, who assured that the commissioner and his wife are now safe. The news of their freedom was first reported by The PUNCH.
Unfortunately, the incident took a tragic turn as one of the commissioner’s aides was killed during the abduction.
As of now, the Anambra State government has not yet released an official statement regarding the abduction or the subsequent release of the commissioner and his wife.
