Man Tied To Truck For Hitching Free Ride (Video)
A young Nigerian man was allegedly tied to the back of a truck by the vehicle’s driver and conductor after he reportedly climbed on for a free ride.
The truck, which traveled from Port Harcourt to Ughelli, was eventually intercepted by Nigerian police officers who discovered the man bound with ropes.
A video circulating on social media captured the distressing scene, showing the young man tightly tied with ropes at the rear of the truck. While the exact reason for the harsh treatment remains unclear, it is widely believed that the man was punished for attempting to hitch a free ride.
When questioned by the police, the young man confirmed that he had been tied up because he climbed onto the truck. However, he was unable to provide further details about the incident. The police officers promptly intervened, untied the man and ensured his safety. The driver of the truck was not visible in the video, and his whereabouts remain unknown.

Meanwhile, the incident of the young man tied to a truck for hitching a free ride came as the Lagos State Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr Adegoke Fayoade vowed that the the command will reduce the multiple checkpoints along Lagos Badagry Expressway.
Fayoade said this during a familiarisation visit to Area K Command of Nigeria Police along Oko-Afo, Badagry, Lagos, on Saturday.
He said that the multiple checkpoints were creating negative impact and bad image for the country.
“I will look into the police checkpoints on the expressway and reduce them. The reduction will not affect security in the area,” he said.
The CP, however, said that security agencies were not the only ones manning the checkpoints.
“You will see individuals, Agbero, NURTW and others. Everyone is guilty. We can not continue to condemn only the security agencies because all of us are involved. Let us also caution our sons that come out and block the roads to collect money.”
