One of the affected Nigerian Bolt drivers who opened up to an X user identified as @MissPearls said, “I feel so sad, Idon’t know what to do. Someone booked a ride from me yesterday in Port Harcourt. I drove all the way from Agip to New GRA only for the person to cancel.

“I’ve been told South Africans are booking rides here from their Country to waste time and fuel of the driver. I needed the money. My wife is in hospital and I have bills. I’m crying as I type this, is on fair.”

@MissPearls reacted with the suggestion,

“Bolt needs to somehow ban bookings from outside Nigeria for now. South Africans are harassing bolt drivers all the way from their country to waste time and fuel for drivers. This is EVIL. This cruelty MUST STOP!”
