Outrage Trails Increase Of Nigerian International Passport Fees

An outrage has been sparked on social media after the Federal Government of Nigeria, approved an increase of the fees for its International Passport.

According to a statement released by the Nigerian immigration service, the decision was reached by the Federal Government, as part of its effort to maintain the quality and integrity of the Nigerian Standard Passport.

The statement further disclosed that the 32-page international Passport booklet with five year validity, previously charged at thirty-five thousand  will now be fifty thousand naira.

While the sixty-four page Passport booklet with 10 year validity which was seventy thousand naira will now be one hundred thousand naira.

In addition, the statement revealed that the increased international Passport fee, will take effect from September 1, 2024.
