Onlookers Watch As Popular Nollywood Actress Is Robbed In Lagos Traffic
Nollywood actress Aolat Ayonimofe is currently in distress after being robbed in a traffic incident in the Ogudu area of Lagos.
Aolat Ayonimofe, a Yoruba movie star took to her Instagram page to share her ordeal, revealing that she was attacked by traffic robbers who forcefully snatched her expensive necklace, leaving her with painful bruises around her neck.
Ayonimofe expressed her shock and frustration at the incident, noting that despite the presence of onlookers, no one intervened to help. In her post, she expressed gratitude that the situation wasn’t worse, though she lamented the deep wound left on her neck.
“I was robbed right now. Inside traffic along Ogudu. They went away with my expensive necklace. Bruises around my neck. And people were there watching the ugly incident. My neck wound is deep though. Please be safe out there. Thank God it’s not worse than this,” she wrote.

This unfortunate incident affecting Aolat Ayonimofe is not an isolated case in Lagos. Just a few weeks ago, filmmaker Chinney Love shared her own experience of being robbed on her way to the airport. She recounted how a tout approached her for money, and when she refused, he brazenly stole her car’s side mirrors, leaving her shocked and questioning the state of security in the city.
In another incident earlier this year, reality TV star Yvonne Godswill also fell victim to robbers, suffering a bleeding foot during the attack. Last year, actress Ruby Ojiakor had a close call when robbers stormed a plaza where her car was parked. While many vehicles were damaged and valuables stolen, her car was miraculously untouched, an experience she attributed to divine intervention.
