GWG.ng reports that South Africans reportedly initiated the conflict by booking rides in Nigeria and canceling them upon the drivers’ arrival at the pick-up locations. In retaliation, Nigerians employed similar tactics by booking and canceling rides in South Africa, leading to widespread disruption for drivers.
In response to the escalating tensions between the two nations, the Bolt company took a decisive action by blocking numerous accounts involved in a spate of fake ride requests and cancellations.
The company also imposed restrictions on inter-country ride requests following a surge of malicious activities between the two nations.
