Gunmen Kill Lagos Monarch’s Son

Gunmen on Monday, invaded the Ajiran community of Agungi Area, Lekki, Lagos State, and fatally murdered Demola, the first son of the Ojomu of Ajiran land, Tijani Akinloye.

According to a source who spoke to newsmen, the assassination took place on Monday, August 26, along Chevron Drive, close to Ebeano Supermarket.

A notice sent to a news publication from the management of an estate in the community confirmed the incident while appealing to the residents to avoid the Chevron, Agungi, and Ajiran areas.

The statement read, “This is to notify all residents that Ajiran (Agungi) king’s son was assassinated today along Chevron Drive (close to Ebeano Supermarket) this morning.

“We therefore plead to our esteemed residents to avoid Chevron area, Agungi and Ajiran for now for their safety.”

Residents of Ajiran community are deserting the area over fear of further attacks by the gunmen.

GWG.ng reports that the unfortunate incident is happening just few days after Isah Bawa, the Emir of Gobir in Gawata town of Sokoto state was reportedly killed by bandits, in captivity.

His son who was also abducted alongside, regained his freedom after a ransom of N60 Million and five motorbikes was paid.
