It was a thrilling time as teenagers gathered again together to seek the Lord at the 2024 Teens’ Camp which was held at the National Hospital facility in the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT) Abuja.

The 2024 theme: “Rekindle Hope In This Dark World: There is a future for me,” held from August 20 to August 25, within the long vacation period of most schools in Nigeria.

The aim of the theme was to assure the teenagers that there is hope in Jesus even in the present darkness that has enveloped the world.

GWG.ng reports that the 2024 Teens’ camp was packed with various power-packed activities to gainfully engage the teenagers to prepare them as light to the world.

One of the strong points of the camp program was the Bible Study session with the TOPIC: COPING WITH SOCIAL VICES IN OUR SCHOOLS & ENVIRONMENT with scriptural references drawn from Romans 13:1-5, Hebrews 12:1, Proverbs 1:10-15, 24:1-2, , 1 Cor 6:15-20, 1Tim 1:2-10, James 4:7-8,

The teenagers were taught how to deal with societal vices such as examination malpractices, drug addiction, alcoholism, sexual abuse, cultism, indecent dressing among others.

The bible study also enlightened the teenagers on the importance of prayer and the need for the Holy Spirit in a difficult time where teenagers struggle to cope with the teeming and heating challenges that surround them.

They were made to understand that God already envisaged their time! He already thought about the season of their lives as teenagers even before they were born.

“He knows the difficulties and challenges that will come your way, and your inability to overcome them. So, God planned ahead! He planned something that will give you a future, secure it, and give you hope- The Holy Spirit ( Jeremiah) 29:11, Joel 2:28-32).”

Other activities including hymn singing, talk sessions on career, relationships, purpose, games/sports, talent hunt and other activities were featured in the course of the teens’ camp program.

The coordinators of the teens camp tirelessly gave their all to see that the teenagers were well-fed both spiritually and physically.

It is their earnest prayer that the Lord will give increase to the seed they diligently sowed in the life of the teenagers.
