TG Omori Calls For Prayers As Kidney Transplant Fails

Nigerian music director and cinematographer, ThankGod Omori Smith, popularly known as TG Omori or Boy Director, has revealed that the kidney transplant facilitated by his brother to save his life has failed.

GWG.ng recalls that the ace cinematographer revealed that his only brother just donated one kidney to him on Monday.

TG Omori made this known on Wednesday while opening up on his health challenges.

He revealed that his kidney got damaged last year.

According to him, the kidney transplant took place on Monday, August 26, 2024.

He called on his fans to pray for him as he continues to battle the kidney ailment.

Omori wrote, “One year after my kidney crashed I just had a failed transplant at St Nicolas Lagos. Pray for me.”

The music director had shared pictures of himself on a hospital bed receiving oxygen.

Captioning the pictures, he wrote: “keep my spirit alive. I don’t wanna die.”

The music director had been away from the public for some time and his absence has caused a lot of concern among fans.

In April, TG Omori announced that he has decided to stop smoking.

Last month, the award-winning music director wrote on his X handle, “If I cross your mind, sometimes say a prayer for me. Poor marijuana, they blame you for all my rasclaat. You wanna eat, I wanna live.”

Announcing his resolution through his online platform, Omori shared, “Quit smoking today.”

Joining the ranks of Nigerian celebrities who have pledged to quit smoking, including Kizz Daniel, Tonto Dikeh, and Charly Boy, Omori aims to stick to his decision.

Last year, TG Omori revealed that fake drinks left him hospitalized for the better part of the year.

”It’s all fun n jokes but fake drinks left me hospitalized for the most part of this year,” he tweeted.

Several celebrities including Timaya, BNXN have all called out Lagos clubs for selling fake drinks.
