Human rights advocate Femi Falana, SAN, along with lawyers Maxwell Opara and Deji Adeyanju, escorted Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, Comrade Joe Ajaero, to the Force Headquarters in Abuja for questioning regarding allegations, including terrorism financing.

Initially, the NLC had planned to rally its members to accompany Ajaero to the Police Headquarters in a show of solidarity.

However, Falana, who is the NLC’s legal counsel, advised the workers to stay at the Labour House to prevent any potential disorder at the Police premises.

Falana assured the gathered workers that the situation would be expertly handled by his legal team and other lawyers present.

Meanwhile, a detachment of police officers was seen near the Labour House as union members awaited updates on the situation.

Further details will follow.
