Champions League Draw Revealed With New Format

The draw for the new Champions League format has been completed.

This year, the tournament will start with a “Swiss-style” league phase instead of the usual group stage football fans have been used to.

Also, 36 teams will compete instead of the normal 32.

The league stage will end in January, not December as before.

The top eight teams will move directly to the knockout rounds, while teams ranked 9th to 24th will play a two-leg playoff to secure a spot in the last 16.

Teams finishing between 25th and 36th will be eliminated from the competition.

Here are some of the matchups:

Man City will face Inter, Club Brugge, Feyenoord and Sparta Prague at Home. They will then have PSG away, Juventus away, Sporting Lisbon away and Bratislava away.
