Europa League 2024/2025: Full Group Stage Draw and Fixtures Released

The 2024/2025 Europa League draw has introduced a major change in its competition format, discarding the traditional group phase in favor of a league phase.

According to the article dated August 30th, 2024, “Like the Champions League, UEFA has revamped this season’s competition, discarding the traditional group phase.”

Instead, teams will now play against eight different opponents – four home and four away – before progressing to the knockout stages in early 2025. This shift is designed to offer more varied and thrilling encounters throughout the tournament.

Key fixtures in this season’s draw include Manchester United facing Fenerbahce, managed by former United manager Jose Mourinho. Both Manchester United and Tottenham will also square off against Rangers. The final of this season’s Europa League is scheduled to take place at San Mames Stadium in Bilbao, Spain, on May 21, 2025.
