BREAKING: Police Hunt British National In Plot To Overthrow Tinubu
The Nigeria Police Force has announced that they are searching for Andrew Wynne, a British national also known as Andrew Povich or Drew Povey, for allegedly plotting to overthrow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government.
The police have launched a detailed investigation to determine if foreign mercenaries and other subversive individuals are involved in this scheme against Nigeria’s democratically elected government.
ASP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, a police spokesperson, revealed that Wynne had rented a place called ‘Iva Valley Bookshop’ at Labour House in Abuja. He also established a group named ‘STARS of Nations Schools’ as a front for his activities.
Adejobi stated, “The Nigeria Police Force has started a full investigation into the actions of this foreign national and other elements working to undermine Nigeria’s democratically elected government through illegal means and violence.”
He added that, after extensive intelligence gathering and collaboration with other security agencies, nine suspects have been arrested. These suspects were reportedly funded by foreign sources to destabilize the country. Preliminary findings show they were behind violent protests, spreading false information, and engaging in other unlawful activities to create chaos and support their illegal plot to overthrow the government.
This follows the recent arrest of some Polish individuals by the Department of State Services (DSS) during the hardship protest in Kano. Polish officials have claimed that their citizens were not involved in the protest but were in Kano for a university exchange program. Despite this, the Polish individuals were detained for several weeks before being released.
