Teen Native Doctor Arrested For Shooting Client To Death While Testing Bullet Charm

Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested a teen native doctor, 19-year-old Timothy Dauda for allegedly shooting one Alex Ezekiel to death.

GWG.ng reports that the incident happened at Onumu community in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of the state.

Moses Joel Yamu, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, who disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Benin City, said the suspect was arrested by personnel of the Igarra Division.

Yamu said the suspect was a self-acclaimed native doctor who specialises in preparing charms against guns and cutlasses.

He noted that the suspect after preparing the charms for one Alex Ezekiel tried to test the efficacy of the charms by shooting his client.

According to him, one Alex Ezekiel, now deceased, went to the “native doctor” to get the charms prepared for him.

“After preparing the charms, the (teen) native doctor tried to test the efficacy of the charms by shooting the deceased with a gun.

“Unfortunately, the deceased sustained fatal injuries, was rushed to Ifejola Hospital, Igarra where he was certified dead by a medical doctor,” the statement said.

The Police spokesman added that the teen native doctor will face prosecution as soon as investigation is concluded.
