PDP Chieftain And Philanthropist Reportedly Kidnapped
Chief Benedict Akika, a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and founder of the Omituntun Benedict Foundation (OBF), has reportedly been kidnapped in Oyo State.
Akika, widely recognized for his philanthropic efforts and support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration, was said to have been kidnapped from his residence in Idi Ape, located along Olorunda Abba, in the Lagelu Local Government Area.
According to unconfirmed reports, the assailants stormed his home, and in the course of the attack, one person was allegedly killed. Details of the incident remain sketchy, and authorities are yet to release an official statement on the matter.
Akika’s abduction has sparked concern among the local community, as he is well-known for his contributions to societal development and his advocacy for the emancipation of the underprivileged through his foundation.
