Nigerians React To Tinubu’s Love For Rice And .. (Video)

A video capturing the reaction of Nigerians to the decision of the Federal Government to sell rice to the public at the subsidized rate of ₦40,000 per 50kg, is trending on X.

GWG.ng earlier reported that the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, officially launched the sale and distribution of the subsidized rice in Abuja on Thursday.

According to him, the development is timely and is part of the efforts of President Bola Tinubu to ensure Nigerians do not go to bed hungry.

GWG.ng reports that the insinuation on the Tinubu government’s love for throwing rice at Nigerians is coming against the background of the disclosure by Vice President Kashim Shettima that the president is a simple man who enjoys soaking garri and groundnut.

While reacting to the government’s new rice palliative in the video, Nigerians expressed concern that the Tinubu-led-government has taken to using rice to solve the problems of Nigeria, which they describe as insufficient.

One man who reacted said, “You complain about unemployment? Rice. You complain about the fact that we are hungry? Rice. 

“You say you want to protest? Rice. You say you don’t have medical facilities? Rice. You say you don’t have good schools and good teachers? Rice. You say minimum wage? Rice. It’s rice. It can’t solve all the problems.”
