Nigerian Lady Praises Fire Service For Swift Response (Video)

A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to express her gratitude to the Enugu Fire Service for their prompt response during an emergency.

In a heartfelt post, the Enugu lady praised the fire service for arriving at her location in less than 10 minutes after she placed a distress call.

Sharing her experience on social media, she expressed her surprise and appreciation, especially given the general perception of emergency response times in Nigeria. Her post read:

“Enugu Fire Service, thank you so much! Called them and they responded and got here in 10 minutes. Thank you so much 🙏🙏.”

Her gratitude was met with positive reactions online, with many users commending the Enugu Fire Service for their timely intervention.

This commendation comes at a time when many Nigerians are advocating for improved public services, and her experience has reignited discussions about the need for effective emergency responses across the country.

The Enugu State Government has pledged to deepen its partnership with the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) in providing coaches and sporting facilities to correctional centres.

The Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Lloyd Ekweremadu, said this on Friday at the kick off of the final match of the 2024 Enugu Custodial Centre Annual Inter-Hostels Football Competition.

Ekweremadu, represented by the Director of Sports, Boniface Onovo, said that the move would facilitate inmates’ reformation and reintegration as well as making reformed inmates beneficial to society.

He also said that the ministry would deploy two football coaches to the custodial centre to train and sharpen the raw football talents discovered during the competition.
