Afrobeats superstar Davido is facing criticism after a series of remarks on social media, which have drawn the ire of many netizens.

Despite the negative reactions, Davidoo, recently reckoned for his “Timeless” hit remained unfazed, using Twitter to subtly fire back at the criticism from his detractors.

In a tweet, Davido declared that no matter how much his haters disliked him, they would still keep tabs on his social media activities. “If you like, hate me, but you’re still monitoring me,” he wrote, brushing off the backlash with his usual confidence.

This controversy follows an earlier incident where Davido introduced himself as the “King of Nigeria” while in the presence of a Saudi Arabian Prince. In a video that surfaced online, Davido could be heard praising Israel for enjoying his life post-divorce and went on to insinuate that Sheila likely regrets leaving him.

This comment triggered a wave of criticism, with many feeling that Davido’s remarks were unnecessary and disrespectful towards Sheila. Israel DMW’s public fallout with his ex-wife has been tumultuous, with Israel repeatedly dragging her on social media and even laying curses on her after their split. Sheila, however, maintained a dignified silence throughout the ordeal.
