2027: No More Automatic Ticket For Peter Obi – Labour Party

The Labour Party faction led by Julius Abure, who serves as the party’s National Chairman, has dismissed the possibility of granting Peter Obi an automatic ticket for the 2027 presidential race.

Similarly, the faction has also ruled out granting an automatic ticket to Alex Otti, the current Governor of Abia State, on the party’s platform.

These announcements were made during a press briefing on Monday by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), which clarified that the nominations for both positions would be open to all interested candidates.
