Hardship: Nigerian Father Laments Using Waybill To Send Children To School (Video)

In a viral video circulating on social media, a Nigerian man expressed his frustration over the soaring cost of transportation caused by the hike in fuel prices.

The man, whose identity remains unknown, revealed that he had to resort to “waybilling” his two children from Warri to Lagos due to the prohibitive transportation costs.

The man explained that with fuel prices skyrocketing, it cost him ₦24,000 per child to send them from Warri to Lagos. Instead of making the trip himself, which would have incurred even more expenses, he opted to send his children via waybill – a method typically used for goods and packages, highlighting the extent to which Nigerians are feeling the pinch of rising fuel costs.

In the video, the concerned father lamented how the increased cost of transportation has made it difficult for many Nigerians to move freely across the country, with parents like him now resorting to unusual measures to avoid financial strain.

As families struggle to manage the fallout, many are being forced to make tough decisions like this father, who found himself using a method designed for goods to move his own children.
