Prophet Fufeyin Debunks Reports On NAFDAC Probe Of Miracle Water

Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, Senior Prophet of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, has addressed recent allegations related to an investigation by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) of its sale of mircale soap, water and other alleged items.
The response of Prophet Fufeyin followed a report in The Punch newspaper, which suggested that NAFDAC was scrutinizing its use of miracle water and soap.
In a statement released on Mercyland Television which reacted on behalf of Prophet Fufeyin, the church refuted the claims, asserting that the coverage by The Punch was misleading and did not accurately reflect the church’s interactions with NAFDAC over the miracle water and soap.
The church emphasized its adherence to the principles of religious freedom as outlined in the Nigerian Constitution. It clarified that the only formal complaint against it came from Mr. Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkblackman, who is facing a lawsuit from the church for alleged forgery and related issues.
Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry stated that it has been fully cooperative with NAFDAC, having participated in a meeting at the agency’s Asaba office on September 2, 2024. Contrary to claims of non-cooperation, the church has provided statements and committed to ongoing dialogue with NAFDAC throughout the investigation.
The church criticized The Punch for what it described as unethical journalism, citing the newspaper’s failure to seek the church’s perspective before publishing its report. It urged the public to dismiss the report as unfounded and reaffirmed its dedication to its spiritual and legal responsibilities.
Sophia Lloyd, representing Mercy Television, voiced the church’s frustration with the media’s portrayal and reiterated its commitment to religious freedom and continued cooperation with NAFDAC to address the investigations concerning the miracle water and other issues.
